Colombo, July 29 (newsin.asia) – The number of coronavirus positive patients detected in Sri Lanka crossed the 300,000 mark as another 1,919 new Covid-19 cases had been detected across the country yesterday (28).
The total number of COVID-19 positive cases stands at 301,832 with 25,782 active cases registered across the island and as many as 271,855 recoveries according to the Government Information Department.

Sri Lanka also registered 63 more Covid-19 related deaths yesterday, the Director-General of Health Services confirmed. The victims have succumbed to the virus infection on Tuesday (July 27).
Reportedly, 1 of them is aged below 30 years, 11 victims are between 30-59 years and the remaining 51 are aged 60 and above.
The total number of deaths due to Covid-19 infection in Sri Lanka is 4,258 as of now.
