Colombo, June 9 (newsin.asia) – Sri Lanka reported 54 more COVID-19 deaths recording the highest number of fatalities in a day.
15 deaths have been reported between the period of May 10 to May 31 while the rest of them was reported between June 02 to June 07 according to the Government Information Department.

Accordingly, the death toll in the country has increased to 1,844.
The number of coronavirus positive patients detected in Sri Lanka crossed the 210,000 mark yesterday (8) as another 2,637 new Covid-19 cases had been detected in the country.
The total number of COVID-19 positive cases stands at 210,661 with 30,613 active cases registered across the island and as many as 178,259 recoveries according to the Government Information Department.
