Colombo, Sept 2 (newsin.asia) – The number of coronavirus positive patients detected in Sri Lanka crossed the 444,000 mark as another 3,828 new Covid-19 cases had been detected across the country yesterday (1).
The total number of COVID-19 positive cases stands at 444,130 with 58,514 active cases registered across the island and as many as 376,216 recoveries according to the Government Information Department.

Sri Lanka also registered 215 more Covid-19 related deaths yesterday, the Director-General of Health Services confirmed. The victims have succumbed to the virus infection on Tuesday (31).
Reportedly, among the victims 2 were aged below 30 years, 46 victims were aged between 30-59 years and 167 others aged 60 and above.
The total number of deaths due to Covid-19 infection in Sri Lanka is 9,400 as of now.
