Colombo, Sept 5 (newsin.asia) – The number of coronavirus positive patients detected in Sri Lanka crossed the 459,000 mark as another 3,333 new Covid-19 cases had been detected across the country yesterday (4).
The total number of COVID-19 positive cases stands at 459,459 with 67,032 active cases registered across the island and as many as 382,476 recoveries according to the Government Information Department.

Sri Lanka also registered 145 more Covid-19 related deaths yesterday, the Director-General of Health Services confirmed. The victims have succumbed to the virus infection on Friday (3).
Reportedly, among the victims, 4 were aged below 30 years, 24 victims were aged between 30-59 years and 117 others aged 60 and above.
The total number of deaths due to Covid-19 infection in Sri Lanka is 9,900 as of now.
