Colombo, August 17 (newsin.asia) – The number of coronavirus positive patients detected in Sri Lanka crossed the 362,000 mark as another 3,414 new Covid-19 cases had been detected across the country yesterday (16).
The total number of COVID-19 positive cases stands at 362,074 with 43,921 active cases registered across the island and as many as 312,057 recoveries according to the Government Information Department.

Sri Lanka also registered 167 more Covid-19 related deaths yesterday, the Director-General of Health Services confirmed. The victims have succumbed to the virus infection on Sunday (15).
Reportedly, among the victims are 1 male aged below 30 years, 36 victims aged between 30-59 years and 130 others aged 60 and above.
The total number of deaths due to Covid-19 infection in Sri Lanka is 6,263 as of now.
