Colombo, Oct 1 (NIA) – Sri Lanka, on Saturday, celebrated World Children’s Day by holding various activities across the island. Sri Lanka’s Prime Minister, Ranil Wickremesinghe, in his Children’s Day message said that when compared with many parts of the world, Sri Lanka can still take pride in her cultural heritage as it encourages and fosters strong relationships within families and places emphasis on taking care of elders while enabling children to thrive in an environment of love and caring.
