Colombo, November 19 (newsin.asia) – Schools in Sri Lanka will reopen for Grade 6 – 13 from Monday (23rd) as previously scheduled, said Minister of Education Prof. G. L. Peiris.
Although, schools in the Western Province and areas currently under lockdown will remain closed.
Schools were temporarily closed from the 4th of October due to the coronavirus outbreak reported in Minuwangoda in October.

The third term for schools was set to commence on the 9th of November before the Government announced that the reopening of schools will be postponed by two weeks due to the COVID-19 outbreak in the country.
