Colombo, July 13 (NewsWire) – The highest number of COVID-19 vaccines administered within a single day in Sri Lanka was reported yesterday.
The Health Ministry’s Epidemiology Unit said a record 232,526 vaccine doses were administered during the course of the day.

As per the Unit, 180 doses of the AstraZeneca Covishield vaccine were provided as the second jab.
A total of 179,988 people received the Sinopharm vaccine as the first jab, while 40,276 people received the vaccine as their second dose.
The Sputnik V vaccine was administered as the first dose to nearly 13,375 people.
Meanwhile, the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine was provided to a total of 4,725 people as the first dose.
