March 5 (newsin.asia) – EAP Films recently premiered the Oscar-winning South Korean movie, Parasite.

The premiere was held at the flagship theatre, Savoy 3D Dolby Atmos in Wellawatta.
Among the participants were some of the industry giants from the Sri Lankan movie industry as well as media representatives from different organizations.
Bong Joon-ho’s (director) comedy-drama about an impoverished family who infiltrates the household of a wealthier one is the first film not in the English language to take the top prize. It also took the best director, best original screenplay and best international film at the Oscars.
Ki-taek’s family of four is close, but unemployed. With a bleak future ahead of them, the son Ki-woo is recommended for a well-paid tutoring job, spawning hopes of regular income. Carrying the expectations of his family on his shoulders, Ki-woo heads to the Park family home for an interview with Mr. Park, the owner of a global IT firm. It is at this house that Ki-woo meets Yeon-kyo, the beautiful young lady of the house. However, behind this meeting, an unstoppable string of mishaps lies in wait.
The idea was to give the Sri Lankan movie lovers an opportunity to watch this award-winning movie in the best possible set up in Sri Lanka. The movie has been running in the theatres for the last two weeks and will continue for some time in order to give everyone an opportunity to watch such a miracle of a film!
