Feb 27 (Daily News) – The artificial beach and public area of Port City Colombo would be opened in August for public.
This area would be linked to Galle Face via a foot bride enabling people to enjoy the public beach of the Colombo Port city.
The artificial beach would be 1.5 km in length and around 50 meters in width according to Head of Environmental Management Plan Team for Port City W. A. D. D. Wijesooriya.

He said that the construction of the Central Park which is a green area similar to (Vihara Maha Devi Park) is also being executed and when completed it will be five times the size of Galle Face and it will be opened to the public free of charge.
