Colombo, May 23 (newsin.asia): Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday has telephonic conversation with the Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and praised Sri Lanka for its effective fight against COVID-19 under his leadership.
In two tweets, Modi said: “Had an excellent talk with President. Sri Lanka is fighting COVID-19 effectively under his leadership. India will continue to support our close maritime neighbor in dealing with the pandemic and its economic impact. We agreed to accelerate Indian-assisted development projects in Sri Lanka, and also strengthen investment links.”
