Colombo, May 29 (newsin.asia) – Sri Lanka registered 39 more Covid-19 related deaths. The Director-General of Health Services confirmed 04 deaths that occurred on Thursday (27 May) due to Covid-19 virus infection.
Apart from that, a total of 36 deaths were reported from 29th April to 27th May. Accordingly, the total number of deaths due to Covid-19 infection in Sri Lanka is 1,363 by now.

The number of coronavirus positive patients detected in Sri Lanka crossed the 177,000 mark yesterday (28) as another 2,845 new Covid-19 cases had been detected. All fresh cases were associated with the New Year Covid-19 Cluster.
The total number of COVID-19 positive cases stands at 177,711 with 31,349 active cases registered across the island and as many as 146,362 recoveries according to the Government Information Department.
