Colombo, April 13 (newsin.asia) – Hours after the official Twitter accout of the Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka was suspended by Twitter, an official from the Embassy told newsin.asia that they were attempting to unlock their account as no reason had been given by Twitter.
“Twitter didn’t give any reason to the Embassy for the suspension of its official account. We have requested to unlock it. There seems to be a very simple reason, double standards of freedom speech” an official from the Chinese Embassy said.
The account was actively tweeting the latest news and updates on China – Sri Lanka affairs but had been critical of any anti China opinions.
