Using the website for calculating power bills, https://eleccal.numbers.lk/, the public can now confirm information relevant to their electricity bill.
According to the CEB proposal, the electricity tariffs will be increased by nearly 66%.
The updated electricity rate for 90 units has climbed to Rs. 4,543.59, according to numbers.lk.

In a Twitter message, numbers.lk pointed out that electricity charges for 90 units was Rs. 861 six months ago.
It further noted that using one extra unit after using 90 will result in an increase in the electricity bill of Rs. 923.08, for a total of Rs. 5,466.67.
