Colombo, May 5 (NewsWire) – The Sri Lanka Immigration and Emigration Officers Association has announced the withdrawal of certain services at all international airports in the country from tomorrow (06).
Issuing a statement, the Association said that Immigration and Emigration Officers will halt the operations of the VIP and CIP terminals of all the International airports.
They have decided to withdraw from their duties to service VIP and CIP terminal entrances until a solution is reached to overcome the present economic crisis.
An islandwide harthal has been planned for tomorrow over the economic crisis, with several more trade unions announcing their participation by withdrawing from duties.
