Colombo, April 5 (newsin.asia) – Opposition Leader MP Sajith Premadasa today called on all Parliamentarians to unite to abolish the Executive Presidency within the week.
“There should be no voice in Parliament, apart from the voice heard from the streets. The people want a change in government and that the Parliament must understand it,” he informed Parliament.

“We can bring in a system to abolish the Executive Presidency within this week, but not allow an Executive PM either. We need checks and balances,” the MP said.
“If we come to power, it will be with the blessings of the people,” he added.
“The people want a change in government and the Parliament must understand it,”
He further said that SJB will not accept temporary ministerial portfolios.
