Colombo, Feb 28 (newsin.asia) – A total of 203,081 tourist arrivals have been reported in Sri Lanka from the 1st of January to the 26th of February 2023, the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) reported.
Accordingly, the highest number of tourist arrivals amounting to 51,972 has been reported from Russia during this period.

A total of 26,731 tourists have arrived from India, followed by 16,612 from the United Kingdom, 15,474 from Germany and 10,681 from France, rounding off the top five source markets.
Between 3000- 6000 tourists have been reported from Australia, Canada, the USA, Israel, the Maldives, and Switzerland.
The SLTDA stated that between 1000- 2000 tourists have arrived from Italy, Belarus, Netherlands, Poland, China, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Austria, and Sweden.
Sri Lanka, known for its stunning landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and welcoming locals, is expected to welcome more visitors in 2023 as the world recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic.
