Colombo, Nov 25 (NewsWire) – A Gazette has been issued relaxing the import ban on several items with effect from November 23, 2022.
The imported goods include Refrigerators, Air-conditioners, Washing Machines, and Brake Pads.

The Gazette has been signed by President Ranil Wickremesinghe in his capacity as the Minister of Finance.
As per the Gazette, some importation of Goods, classified by selected HS codes shall be allowed subject to the prior approval of the Controller General of Imports and Exports.
