Colombo, June 6 (NewsWire) – A Free Street Library has been established near the entrance of the Race Course ground in Colombo.
This street library has been built under the sponsorship of the Pakistani government with an expense of Rs. 2.3 million.

This library project, which is a joint venture between the Sri Lankan and Pakistani governments was recently inaugurated under the patronage of Pakistani High Commissioner to to Sri Lanka, Umar Farook Burqi.
Ministry of Urban development and housing invites everyone to make use of the free library and those who wish to donate any books of any language. This library will also be open 24-hours a day.
