Colombo, Jan 16 (NIA) – Sri Lankan Prime Minister, Ranil Wickremesinghe on Monday left for Switzerland to attend the World Economic Forum to be held in Davos.
The Summit is to be held from Jan 17 to 21.
Leaders of nearly 40 countries are scheduled to attend the 2017 World Economic Summit which will study the world’s new economic trends in depth.
In the sidelines of the Summit, Prime Minister Wickremesinghe is scheduled to meet several world leaders and high ranking international entrepreneurs, a press release by the Prime Minister’s office stated.
He is also expected to meet the new Secretary General United Nations, Antonio Guterres and Swiss President, Doris Leuthard.
Ministers Ravi Karunanayake and Harin Fernando have also been invited to attend the summit.
