Colombo, Dec 20 (NewsWire) – The COVID-19 vaccination card will be compulsory when entering public places in Sri Lanka from January 1st, 2022, Tourism Minister Prasanna Ranatunga said.
The Minister said that the Health Ministry is in the process of taking relevant steps to implement the decision.

Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella had also told a newspaper earlier, that the vaccination card will be made mandatory to visit public places from January 1st.
He pointed out that the public not adhering to COVID health guidelines is the main reason to make vaccination cards mandatory to visit public places.
