Colombo, August 15 (newsin.asia): A documentary film on the Gandhara civilization in Pakistan, being produced by the Pakistan High Commission in Sri Lanka, has brought together Pakistanis, Sri Lankans and Indians, signifying a shared heritage.
Entitled Gandhara: The Buddhist Heritage of Pakistan the documentary is being made by the Mumbai-based Indian film company Siddhivinayak Cine Arts (Private) Limited with a Pakistani, Sri Lankan and Indian team advised by the Sri Lankan Ministry of Buddha Sasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs. Its Production Manager is Vaibhav Koltharkar and the Director is Mateen Seharai.
An announcement about the making of the documentary was made by the Pakistan High Commission to mark the 75th Independence Day of Pakistan which coincided with the Buddhist Esala Perahera Festival this year.
