“An entire world awaits you at Deep Dive Dubai the world’s deepest pool, with a depth of 60 meters (196 feet) #Dubai,” Hamdan bin Mohammed said in his post on Twitter.
WHERE IS DEEP DIVE DUBAI LOCATED?
Deep Dive Dubai is located in the Nad Al Sheba neighbourhood and has been verified by Guinness World Records as the world’s deepest swimming pool for diving, a press release made available on the Government Of Dubai’s website states.
FEATURES OF DEEP DIVE DUBAI
Featuring the latest technology, Deep Dive Dubai has a depth of over 60 metres and holds 14 million litres of water. What’s rather interesting is that the pool also holds a sunken city within that will surely intrigue divers.
It is “complete with an abandoned streetscape and featuring an apartment, garage, and arcade,” the release added. A team of international diving professionals are present at the spot to assist those interested in freediving and scuba diving.
There are 56 underwater cameras as well that cover all angles of the pool. To make the diving experience even better, there are sound and mood lighting systems also.
The statement also says, “The pool’s freshwater is filtered and circulated every six hours through siliceous volcanic rock, NASA-developed filter technology and UV radiation in one of the largest and fastest filter systems in the region.”
BOOKINGS FOR DEEP DIVE DUBAI
Deep Dive Dubai, at present, is open only by invitation. Public bookings will open in late July on their website for residents and visitors aged 10 and up. Beginners, as well as professional divers and athletes, can visit.
