Colombo, May 29 (News 1st); All essential service workers MUST be in possession of a letter issued by the head of the institution in addition to the workplace ID or official ID, said Police Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana on Friday (28).
“This letter could be a hard-copy or a soft-copy, and it is mandatory that essential service workers possess the letter at all times,’ he said.
Inspections over the past few days in the Western Province revealed that certain individuals abuse the official ID issued to them, he said while adding that 11% of the vehicles operating in the Western Province are doing so with no valid reason.
