Colombo, May 28 (newsin.asia) – Army Commander General Shavendra Silva announced today that the travel restrictions currently imposed in Sri Lanka will remain in place until 4 am on the 7th of June.
“Restrictions will not be eased on the 31st of May & 4th of June, as announced earlier,” Army Commander said. He also added that the public can buy essential goods, medicines. food and other services through mobile services conducted by GAs & AGAs.
Members of the public are urged not to leave their houses during this travel-restricted period.
The Director-General of Health Services confirmed that Sri Lanka has reported 27 more deaths related to the COVID-19 pandemic on Wednesday (May 27).
