Hyderabad, May 26 (India Today): An Air Asia flight with 76 on board made an emergency landing at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad on Tuesday afternoon. The Air Asia flight I51543 which was flying from Jaipur to Hyderabad had to make an emergency landing at Shamsabad.
The Airbus A320 jet made the landing with one engine. In a rarest of rare circumstance, a full emergency was declared at the Hyderabad airport once the pilot of the Jaipur-Hyderabad flight informed of the snag. All operations were shut down and emergency services were kept on standby till the flight made a safe landing.
Fuel leakage is suspected to be the reason behind the plane developing a snag.
