Colombo, March 27 (newsin.asia) – Some of the doctors and medical staff at Asiri Medical Hospital, in Colombo, have been place under quarantine after a patient, who withheld vital health information from the staff, tested positive for COVID-19 while under treatment at the hospital.
Airi Healthcare said that the patient had been under treatment at a state hospital before being warded at Asiri Medical, and the patient’s family had deliberately withheld relevant information.
On March 26, the patient had tested positive for the coronavirus and was transferred to the IDH immediately.
Subsequently Asiri Healthcare said all hospital staff who were put at risk have been isolated and are under observation and under guidance of the Epidemiology Unit.
