Colombo, October 19 (newsin.asia): Bangladesh, a country with unique diversity and culture has always believed hospitality/food business a noble and respectable business to seek to. Some even consider this as a pinnacle of success in their professional careers.
But not all was in color as the newly developing Bangladesh lacked expertise or exposure to the taste of international cuisines. Businesses were limited to producing local items and dishes with inadequate innovation or interest. But the beauty of economic evolution in developing countries always has demands met with some sort of innovation.
The need for innovative food, fusion with international cuisine was always there and people were introduced to these cuisines by one or two daring businesses like Big Bite, Mollica snacks, etc. at that time. These introductions came in a time when the economy in Bangladesh was taking pace with sustainable growth. This growth afterward gave ripple confidence to a line of young entrepreneurs who saw that with innovation, taste, quality, and consistency of products would give them the right strength to grow as a functional corporate business in a market where there is no or less innovation.
One such startup was “TAKEOUT”, they started small with a small inadequate fund and a small team of 6. They started when there was an opportunity or in other words space in a food court in Shimanto Square, previously known as Rifles Square, in Dhaka. At that time there was an outburst of food carts in different locations of the city of Dhaka. These carts offered fast food at a highly competitive price in contrast to the fewer posh restaurants without compromising too much on quality. In a span of few months, Takeout gained popularity amongst others and became a household name all over Dhaka. The reason behind their popularity amongst others was due to genuine innovation, taste, quality, and consistency in their products.
TAKEOUT is considered to be one of the best burger joints in Bangladesh right now, they sell a wide range of premium burgers, fries as sides and is very well known for the new range of genuine shakes. They go by their tagline, “Burgers, Fries & Shakes”. TAKEOUT beats on its’s research and development team and follows a secret recipe that makes its products different in taste and presentation. Another reason for takeout being different is because of its focus on quality, service, and preservation.
They opened on June 8, 2014, in Shimanto Square, Dhanmondi. Around that time, all they had was just one small stall in a row of stalls that catered to a huge crowd on a daily basis. Since then their popularity has only risen, which led to the creation of the most loyal fan-base a Bangladeshi burger joint has ever seen. TAKEOUT welcomed the love and support of their fans by branching out. They moved and opened their first branch in a brick and mortar space in Dhanmondi and on-demand branched out to locations in Banani, Uttara, Tejgaon, Ramna. TAKEOUT had even decided to extend its success internationally by opening an outlet in Colombo, Sri Lanka on October 2017. The story does not end here, TAKEOUT took a bold step into relocating to a different location in the heart of Colombo, Sri Lanka.
As you may know by now that TAKEOUT is a fast-food casual restaurant that sells burgers, fries & shakes. However, we are simply not just that, we are many versions of innovation and have successfully created a unique world of tantalizing taste, heartfelt emotions and saga of achievements. These emotions are what motivated the team of TAKEOUT to work and branch out in a country that is similar to Bangladesh in an uncountable number of ways. Sri Lanka is what it says it is, a glittering blossoming economy made by a diversity of cultures, traditions of a uniquely diverse but united population. One can also take Sri Lankan spices as an example to explain how strong, unique and colorful the country is.
TAKEOUT reopened on the 15th of August, 2019 at their new location 33A, Dickmans Road Dr. Lester James Peiris Mawatha, Colombo 05.
“The reception has been fantastic due to the customers. They loved our food and shared their experience with others and that brought more customers. We swiftly received appreciation from our critics too”, said Mr. Md. Abdur Rahman (Business Development & HR Manager, Takeout). He also added that we went all-in on quality and trained our staff and said to them that “each order is a test of your skills and emotions”.
Every first bite should speak about quality and consistency and that should be the only reason for the newly relocated TAKEOUT Lanka’s success as a Boutique Burger Restaurant. We are more focused than ever and working on keeping the pace and maintain that sweet “consistency” that is so vital for us or any type of restaurant.
