Colombo, Jan 10 (NIA) – Sri Lanka’s Former Housing Minister, Wimal Weerawansa, was arrested by police on Tuesday over the alleged misuse of 40 government vehicles during the previous regime.
Weerawansa was arrested after he appeared before the Financial Crimes Investigations Division to record a statement over the allegations.
The former Minister is a staunch supporter of ex leader Mahinda Rajapakse and is a member of the Joint Opposition.
