Sri Lankan shares end slightly high

Colombo, July 10 (newsin.asia) – Shares at the Colombo Stock Exchange ended 0.77 percent lower amid a moderate market turnover on Tuesday.

The All Share Price Index ended 6,081.1, down by 47 points.

John Keells Holdings emerged as the top contributor followed by Melstacorp Limited and Cargills (Ceylon).

Total market turnover amounted to Rs.567 million (an estimated 3.5 million US dollars) while foreign sales amounted to Rs.351 million (an estimated 2.2 million US dollars).
