Colombo, Jan 25 (NIA) – Sri Lanka, on Wednesday said it plans to hold a two day mega Digital Summit in March in order to promote the island country as a global digital hub.
Cabinet Spokesperson, Rajitha Senaratne told journalists here that experts and Executive Officers of prominent companies such as Facebook, Google, Social Capital and Infosys were expected to participate in the Summit.
Accordingly, the proposal made by Harin Fernando, Minister of Telecommunication and Digital Infrastructure, to proceed with the activities related to the summit, was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers, Senaratne said.
