Colombo, August 11 (newsin.asia) – The number of coronavirus positive patients detected in Sri Lanka crossed the 339,000 mark as another 2,904 new Covid-19 cases had been detected across the country yesterday (10).
The total number of COVID-19 positive cases stands at 339,092 with 35,708 active cases registered across the island and as many as 298,612 recoveries according to the Government Information Department.

Sri Lanka also registered 118 more Covid-19 related deaths yesterday, the Director-General of Health Services confirmed. The victims have succumbed to the virus infection on Monday (9).
Reportedly, 101 of the latest victims are senior citizens aged above 60 years. The remaining 17 were aged between 30-59.
The total number of deaths due to Covid-19 infection in Sri Lanka is 5.340 as of now.
