Colombo, May 31 (newsin.asia): People of Colombo had their first open air entertainment after the two-month lockdown on May 30.
Young people thronged the Ratmalana domestic airport in over 600 cars to listen to the popular singing duo, Bathiya and Santhush.
At dusk, the stage was lit up and youngsters waved torches and danced to the strains of popular Sri Lankan numbers.
The police ensured that people remained near their vehicles and social distance was maintained.
Charges depended on the size of the vehicle, with the lowest ticket being Rs.5000, for a car that can accommodate four people; and a vehicle which can accommodate 6 to 8 people, Rs.7000.

The proceeds of the concert, organized as part of the “Restart Sri Lanka” campaign, will go to the President’s COVID relief fund “Itukama”.
Another concert is planned for June1.
