How does one see the concept of knowledge? Is it only confined to classrooms or is it something that is present all around us, in a conversation with a stranger, in a new place we are visiting; a palpable reality that is waiting for the doors of our minds to open and let it in, like a new visitor, and where we are evolved for the better.
A Sri Lankan travel company with branches in India and elsewhere in the globe, Panganr Holidays Pvt. Ltd., and a Sri Lankan knowledge movement; Earth Life Water Knowledge Trails (ELW), have joined in an initiative to encourage the concept of contemplative knowledge among children and adults alike. It has has come forward with the concept of “global knowledge tours.”
The tours are specifically designed every month for small office-based groups that include the private and the public sector and also for families to travel and learn together.
“Knowledge tours” will be arranged to Vietnam, Bangladesh, India, Cambodia, Thailand, China, Nepal,Burma, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia (Bali) and Bhutan.
“These are countries that we have successfully organized tours for the past 10 years. We are now heading for a new part of our travel experience, along with Earth Life Water Knowledge Trails (ELW) movement where we will specifically look at the concept of knowledge in travel,’ says A.R.Naren | MD/CEO OF Panganr Holidays.
Panganr Holidays, is a trusted partner in international holidaying, with offices in Colombo, Jaffna, India and other countries. It is a travel pioneer that specializes in South Asian and South East Asian countries.
Panganr Holidays has been providing quality services with excellent value for money since 2009 and has been a member of Rainbow Group of India since 1996, specializing in both inbound and outbound tourism.
Says SuryamithraVishwa of Earth Life Water Knowledge Trails: “When we say knowledge, it primarily should be our understanding of ourselves; our strengths, weaknesses and prejudices; recognizing that it is our exposure to the world around us that shapes much of our internal world and help us to think out new ideas and create new knowledge.”
“Through this initiative we hope to make travel the moving university of the future and also show people how the connection of one dot of knowledge with another dot of knowledge, links us to a totally new paradigm. Such thinking anew could have great knowledge dividends for the traveller and we will, where possible, work with each group to help them maximize the knowledge they gather for their professional life. As we go on, we hope to work on this systematically.”
The first series of tours are to take place in December 2019 to Vietnam where six day tours will be organized mid and end December targeting both families and those working in the public and private sectors.
