New Delhi, Nov 16 (NIA) – India’s External Affairs Minister, Sushma Swaraj, has been admitted to a hospital in New Delhi after suffering from a kidney related disease.
She is currently undergoing dialysis and is undergoing tests for a possible kidney transplant, Swaraj said in a tweet on Wednesday morning.
“I am in AIIMS because of kidney failure. Presently, I am on dialysis. I am undergoing tests for a Kidney transplant. Lord Krishna will bless,” Swaraj tweeted.
Sources at the AIIMS, told the Time of India that the Indian Minister was in a stable condition. “Her history of chronic diabetes has affected her kidney functioning. She is on dialysis,” sources said.
Swaraj has been suffering from diabetes for almost 20 years. The 64-year-old BJP leader was admitted to AIIMS in April as well when she underwent treatment for pneumonia and other health issues.
