Colombo, March 9 (newsin.asia) – Security was tightened in capital Colombo on Friday as Muslims gathered at mosques to attend Friday prayers. Muslim owned businesses remained closed to maintain law and order to curb the spread of violence. At least three people have been killed and several others injured in anti Muslim clashes which erupted in Kandy, in central Sri Lanka since Sunday evening. The government declared a state of emergency and imposed curfews in Kandy to quell days of riots. Over 200 Muslim owned businesses, homes and vehicles have been set ablaze. (Picy By NewsIn.Asia)
