Colombo, March 23 (newsin.asia) – Sri Lanka’s Health Ministry, on Monday said the first COVID-19 patient who is a 52 year old tour guide, who was detected with the virus earlier this month has recovered fully and been discharged from the National Infectious Disease Hospital.
Sources from the Health Ministry said that medical teams had kept the patient under observation for several days after he had recovered to monitor if he is getting a relapse. However he has now fully recovered and been discharged, sources said.
Three other patients have also recovered but they continue to remain in hospital under observation. They too are likely to be released once medical doctors are confident that they will not get a relapse of the virus.
