Colombo, August 15 (newsin.asia) – The number of coronavirus positive patients detected in Sri Lanka crossed the 351,000 mark as another 3,245 new Covid-19 cases had been detected across the country yesterday (14).
The total number of COVID-19 positive cases stands at 351,533 with 38,413 active cases registered across the island and as many as 307,345 recoveries according to the Government Information Department.

Sri Lanka also registered 160 more Covid-19 related deaths yesterday, the Director-General of Health Services confirmed. The victims have succumbed to the virus infection on Tuesday (10).
This is the highest number of COVID-19 deaths reported in a single day. This marks the sixth consecutive day that the daily count of COVID-19 deaths surpassed 100.
Reportedly, 1 among the victims is aged below 30 years while 35 of them are aged between 30-59 years and 124 others are aged 60 and above.
The total number of deaths due to Covid-19 infection in Sri Lanka is 5.935 as of now.
