Colombo, November 23 (newsin.asia) – The number of coronavirus patients detected in Sri Lanka crossed the 20,000 mark yesterday (22) as another 391 new cases had been detected within the day.
The total number of COVID-19 positive cases stands at 20,171 with 6,015 active cases across the island according to the Health Promotion Bureau. 14,069 cases have recovered so far.
Four COVID-19 related deaths were reported yesterday according to the Director-General of Health Services which brings the total number of COVID-19 deaths recorded in the country to 87.
In the last 24 hours, more than 25 coronavirus infected patients were detected from the Kandy district, 121 from Colombo district, and 112 from the Gampaha district.
