China gives Nepal access to four of its ports to reduce dependence on India
 Kathmandu, September 8 (Reuters/newsin.asia): Close on the heels of the visit of the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Nepal, during which it was decided to do a feasibility study of the project to connect Kathmandu in Nepal to  Raxaul in India by rail, the Chinese have given Nepal access to four  of their ports through Tibet.
Officials from Nepal and China finalized a protocol during a meeting in Kathmandu on Friday giving Nepal access to the Chinese ports at Tianjin, Shenzhen, Lianyungang and Zhanjiang, a statement from Nepal’s Commerce Ministry said.
